How to delete your Goes Faster account and the data that goes with it
Goes Faster is made by goes faster OÜ. You can delete your Goes Faster account at any time — from the app, or by email if you no longer have it. You don't need to give a reason. Deleting the account deletes the data that belongs to it; this cannot be undone.
In the app
- Open Goes Faster and go to Settings.
- Tap Data & Privacy, then Delete Account.
- Confirm twice. The app signs you out and removes its local data from your phone (and your watch, if you use one).
Without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, email hello@goesfaster.com with the subject "Delete my account" — from the email address your account uses, so we can tell it's you. If you signed in with Apple and hid your email, tell us the name on the account and we will find another way to verify it. We reply to confirm, and then delete everything listed below.
What is deleted
- Your profile and settings, including the name your coach calls you.
- Every workout: GPS tracks, heart rate, cadence, splits, analysis, awards, training plans and adherence history.
- Your coaching and training-load data.
- Push-notification registrations for your devices.
- Your Strava connection: we revoke Goes Faster's access at Strava and delete the stored tokens.
- Your sign-in record — email address, password or Apple / Google link.
How long it takes
Deletion starts immediately and usually completes within the hour. You receive a confirmation email once your data is gone and your sign-in is being removed. If nothing arrives within a day, write to hello@goesfaster.com. In every case the deletion is completed within 30 days, as the GDPR requires.
What is not deleted
- Runs you already sent to Strava stay in your Strava account — they are yours there. Delete them on strava.com if you want them gone too.
- Subscriptions and purchase records. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it first in Google Play → Subscriptions or in your App Store settings. Google and Apple keep their own records of your purchases under their terms. Our subscription provider, RevenueCat, holds a purchase record under an anonymous ID; we delete it on request — mention it in your email, or write to us after deleting in the app.
- Sign in with Apple. If Goes Faster still appears under Sign-In and Security → Sign in with Apple in your Apple ID settings afterwards, you can remove it there.
